Monday, March 5th 2018 7:30 PM — 9:00 PM
This talk organised by Food For Thought will introduce you to Savings Pools, a form of peer-to-peer financial support that bypasses banks and doesn't involve paying interest. And Savings Pools are more personal than banks. Savings Pools are formed in communities by groups of people who meet regularly, get to know each other to build trust, and agree to pool amounts of money that can be loaned to members when they have a need. The system is well established internationally and in New Zealand. The presenter at this evening is Antony from the Ashburton Savings Pool.
