Sunday, March 8th 2020 1:30 PM — 5:30 PM
Taught by her European grand-mothers, artist Arina Senior makes “eco” dyes using nature’s windfall resources, which she uses to imprint beautiful hues and patterns on natural fabrics and paper. At this workshop we’ll stroll into the woods to collect our ingredients, then Arina will show us how to make an eco-printed scarf. You will learn how these dyes can be applied to wools, silk, linen and cotton, to use for painting, crafting with kids, or creating materials for interior decorating. Arina will also explain why chemical dyes harm the environment. Numbers to this workshop are limited, book early.
