There'll be speakers from successful, long-running local community initiatives, the Port Robinson Reserves Committee native planting and weed-control programme, and Jane Demeter from Gore Bay's Bring on the Birds pest- trapping programme.
Also speaking will be biosecurity experts, including Noel Crump from Cheviot and Ian Hankin from DOC. Various animal pest traps willl be demonstrated, and we will take a short walk to identify and discuss various weeds and control methods.
The afternoon will conclude with a BBQ, courtesy Farmlands Amberley.
